Where does Quality Management start and what does it mean to our company?

A cornerstone of Sunny Corner Enterprises Inc. is our commitment to Quality, we do not consider Quality a value added deliverable for our clients. It's an expectation to deliver Quality Management systems and programs to a project. Our clients have come to expect SCEI to build quality packages tailored to meet their specific requirements. Sunny Corner Enterprises delivers services that ensure quality without compromising Safety or Productivity.

Since the 1970's Sunny Corner has been working to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for piping installations. To improve our welding processes we became certified to the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) W 47.1/W 59 standard. The fact that we are an ISO 9001:2008 registered company means that an independent third party regularly reviews our Quality Management System providing assurance that Quality is the rule and is an ongoing commitment in our company not just a popular slogan.

In the 1990's we began working to CSA Z299 to satisfy the Power Generation requirements, In 1996 we achieved ISO 9002 registration. That milestone made us the first company of our type to achieve registration in Canada. 2002 brought a re-registration to the new ISO 9001:2000 standards as well we obtained our ASME "U" Stamp for Pressure Vessels and our "PP" Stamp for Boiler Piping. By obtaining these standards it allows us to fabricate for international clients. Late in 2005 CSA N285 was achieved giving Sunny Corner the ability to perform work in the Nuclear Industry.

As you can see our quest for Quality is never ending and has provided the company a diverse cross section of industry opportunities. In 2007 SCEI achieved our ASME "R" Stamp which qualified the company for repairs and or alterations of pressure retaining vessels that have been registered through the National Board..
